Morning Community Support Worker

Redwood home care is looking to give you a job that you'll love, so work will never feel like work again!

We are looking for highly motivated and passionate people who want to support individuals with the aim of ensuring they are able to achieve what matters most to them in their life.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work on their own, as well as 2:1, 3:1 and in groups. They will be caring and compassionate and have a desire to deliver what can only be described as world class care.

Most of our work is based out in the community, where we help people to make the most of their day to day whilst growing their social circles and developing the skills they need to achieve what they want from life. We're a CQC regulated organisation (rated Good), so we also provide personal care when required.

We have part time and full time positions available. You may be required to work alternate weekends.

Please note this position requires you to have a full driving licence and use of your own vehicle. Unfortunately we will be unable to progress applications from anyone who doesn't have a full driving licence or vehicle.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity which gives you the chance to make a hugely positive impact on somebody else’s life. We really value the work of our team, and we encourage everyone to have an input into the development of the programmes we run and the services we offer. With us, you’re a member of the family, and we think it’s important that everyone gets involved and works together to continually improve and develop the services we offer. We have very high standards and our aim is to deliver a world class service to our clients, their families and our staff. If you want to be part of a team that values you, listens to you, and rewards you, and you’re not afraid of doing an excellent job, then look no further!

For your commitment in offering our clients a world class service we will offer you the same:

Benefits

* Competitive starting salary of £8.91-10/hr (depending on experience) + an additional £1/hr for weekends/evenings/bank holidays + an additional £1/hr for every additional client you support if you take people out in groups (i.e. if you were on £9/hr and took 2 clients to the cinema together at the weekend you would be paid £11/hr for that visit)

* Entry level position with training, career development and opportunities for promotion

* Paid day off on your birthday (or choose to work and get paid double instead)

* Employee bonus opportunities

* Training and support

* 28 days paid holiday a year (including bank holidays)

* Pension plan

* Work for a growing family business that respects and values its team

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for supporting our clients, usually out in the community, as they develop the confidence and skills they require to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

We take part in various activities, as decided by the participant. You might be taking someone trampolining or to the cinema one day, followed by a day of walking or accompanying someone to a volunteering session the next. Your role is to enable the people in our care to achieve their personal goals.

This position requires a driving licence and your own car. You will be required to have Business use before starting your first shift with us. We provide a pickup/drop off and transportation service. So, you would be expected to collect the participant/s, take them to various activities and drop them off safely at home again.

Qualifications and Skills

We’re a family run organisation that takes great pride in delivering a world class service to our clients, and a supportive, welcoming environment for our team. We’re looking for people who:

* Are compassionate, patient and kind

* Are fantastic communicators

* Are fluent in English with a very good standard of writing ability (you will be required to keep written notes, contribute to our participants’ personal plans and communicate with participants, their families and healthcare professionals via our online portal).

* Are passionate about helping others achieve their full potential

* Have previous experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities, ASD or mental health conditions

* Have the right to work in the UK

* Have a full valid driving licence and a safe car which you are willing and able to use for work (you will need car insurance that covers your vehicle for business use - we can assist with this if you don't already have cover in place).
