About You

Are you a champion and subject matter expert for sustainability? Could YOU help build a case for further change and the positive commercial, social and environmental impact it may deliver long-term?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainability and making a real impact for Kimberly-Clark and the environment.

You will help to build awareness and deepen understanding of sustainability needs and trends, both within the market and internally. You will have comprehensive and specialised knowledge in sustainability, be a strong driver for growth through commercialising Global and EMEA sustainability initiatives whilst leading cluster sustainability to engage customers and distributors with our products and brands. You will be comfortable with resolving complex problems and translating to business opportunities as well as managing and successfully influencing complex stakeholder relationships.

The Role

With a scope that covers UK and Ireland, you will work independently based on strategic direction and will be able to provide recommendations and influence strategic decision making. The role requires someone with in-depth knowledge of sustainability, ability to manage stakeholders and illuminate case for change across the business to build sustainability capability and understanding with the sales team, peers and UK&I business leaders

Strategy & Value Proposition Development

  • Develops winning value propositions, connects initiatives and crafts sustainability narrative as a key differentiator for KCP in the market

  • Collaborates to define UKI sustainability strategy for 3-year Strategic Business Plans & Annual Business Plans

  • Understands UK&I environmental and climate regulation in order to effectively articulate our value proposition in relation to this

  • Develops roadmap for growth through Sustainability, linked to UK customer market needs and government policy, to inform business, category and brand plans.

  • Partners with Central & Regional Brand Marketing to build required innovation / renovation cadence to deliver on sustainability strategy and support in-market launches. Also provides those teams with insights to ensure sustainability projects fulfill local market needs

  • Adapts existing and develops new sustainability-specific claims across category and brands, managing legal approval (where appropriate)

Channel Marketing

  • Drives KCP’s Sustainability story with distributors to convey leadership, action and compelling impact aligned to customers’ sustainability goals

  • Creates digital and physical marketing content, assets and sales tools for distributors to leverage in their own marketing and sales to elevate KCP’s Sustainability leadership, brands and product solutions to reach more end users.

  • Drives Sustainability engagement and buy-in with distributor partners, at all levels, through relationship build, DSR (Distributor Sales Reps) capability programme delivery and activation programmes

Commercial Programs

  • Leads the implementation of key sustainability programmes aligned with strategy and targets, to maximise our opportunity

  • Develops and monitors success metrics for Sustainability initiatives and programs

  • Executes agile marketing measurement including media tracking (online & offline), optimization & multi-variant testing, social listening and funnel metrics for sustainability commercial programs

Sales Execution

  • Works with Sales organization to develop the business model & customer experience plan to drive sustainability

  • Works with Sales Capability to build capability and confidence in sustainability market insights, trends, KCP initiatives pathway & commercial programs to improve sales closure rates

  • Supports key account-based marketing programs by partnering with sales and customer marketing to identify key account targets & develop joint growth plans with a Sustainability lens

Standard Work

  • Provides sustainability marketing support to the Sales Organization including distributor story, end-user presentations, content creation or adaptation

  • Partners with Central Integrated Marketing team to adapt & execute sustainability digital sales tool/ assets, SEO/SEM etc.

  • Leverages marketing content in the Digital Asset Management System (DAM); where unique sustainability content is created, ensure it is uploaded & maintained in the DAM System

  • Ensure UK customer-facing product content is optimal

  • Translates and activates Brand Identity Guidelines through creative development and execution

  • Manages assigned marketing budget within CFI’s

You will need to have a bachelors degree in environmental science or a business related discipline with strong experience in environmental sustainability/CSR/marketing roles, with a demonstrated track record of achievement and growth in leadership behaviour.

Strong communication skills are essential to be able to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and external bodies.

You will have strong business & organizational acumen – understanding of market dynamics, P&L management & commercial mindset and be able to make tough, informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track
