The Apex Driver is the most important local representative of Apex. You’ll be a natural driver, strong and capable as you’ll be loading and offloading precious cargo. You’re a straightforward, fast and sensible thinker who knows what needs doing and gets it done.
Our people are unique in that they are not motivated by money, but rather use their passion and drive for success to achieve their financial gains. Your starting wage is never going to be your constant wage at Apex, but your pay is based on your own achievements.
You need:
- Previous driving experience
- Stamina; you’ll be lifting up to 40kgs at a time
- A friendly and approachable manner; you know how to treat customers face to face
- Able to work out a route via online maps
- Good telephone manner
- A proactive self learner
- Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Excellent organisational skills
We need:
- Someone who checks their route and manages their own workload
- A trustworthy individual, not afraid to handle valuables
- Someone able to learn the way we operate
- Willing to train on the job
- Not motivated by money but rather gaining trust, reliability and respect
- Can work alone and with a Driver’s second
- Able to work at warehouse and as a driver
- Is prepared with all surplus to carry out his daily tasks
- Can carry out repetitive tasks
- Focused and driven individual (no pun intended!)
A typical day as the Apex Driver:
- Arrive at warehouse and check for any tasks to do
- Respond to customer enquiries via WhatsApp Business
- Organise and schedule collections
- Check stock in van and add as necessary
- Load the stock in the van
- Call clients to advise you are en route to collect from them
- Weigh the cargo in the clients house should they need it
- Deliver surplus stock and drop supplies off from our warehouse to the office
- Offload van into warehouse
- Carry out any warehouse tasks, e.g. assist with packing boxes
- Tidy and maintain the van
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £9.50-£12.00 per hour
