Britannia Movers is currently looking to recruit a warehouse operative and fork truck driver to join the friendly team at our Merstham HQ and shipping hub (near Reigate, Surrey). We want to hear from people with the right qualifications who enjoy working as part of a small team, and have a positive attitude to work. The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive remuneration package and the chance to work for one of the largest, best known removal groups in the UK.
Essential qualifications and attributes
- A reach truck licence
- A counter balance fork truck licence
- A current clean driving license
- You must be physically fit
- Strong written and spoken English
Candidates will preferably have experience of working in the removals industry as well.
Role and duties
Our Merstham warehouse acts as a consolidation depot for customers shipping their goods in and out of the country. Working in partnership with our forty depots across the UK, the warehouse team receives shipments, stores them and gets them moving on to the next part of their journey as quickly as possible. As well as using fork trucks and manual handling to move goods around the warehouse safely, the team use inventories and a barcoding system to track each consignment.
The salary for this role will be between £26,000-£28,000, depending on experience and hours worked. Working hours will vary slightly each day, but will be between 07:00-17:00. This role is available immediately.
